Walsingham Community Preschool opened in 1989, when members of the local community obtained an operational grant from the government and
secured the rental premises from the local parish. The service successfully operated for 20 years from the local Catholic Church building.
The preschool prides itself on its highly regarded reputation for its provision of a relaxed, nurturing atmosphere for children and families.
After many years and tireless hours of work from volunteer management committees and community members, the preschool finally realised its dream with the opening of its fantastic state-of the-art premises in 2010.
The relocation of the preschool saw a change to the preschool name from Walsingham to Pretty Beach Community Preschool, identifying its strong link to the community.
This service is an incorporated, non-profit community-based organisation open to all members of the local and broader community.
